Arab social media users had a field day with an image posted by Avichay Adraee, the IDF spokesman for Arab media.
Adraee tweeted a picture of himself holding a cardboard piece with the words “If you dared go for it, we will surprise you” written on it.
His message was directed at the Lebanese Islamist militant group Hezbollah.
The photo was accompanied by the caption: “Despite our efforts to keep the northern border at peace, we will not hesitate to make whoever threatens us pay the price.”
رغم إصرارنا على حفظ الأمن والهدوء على الحدود الشمالية الا أننا لن نتوانى عن تدفيع من يتجرأ على تهديدنا ثمنًا باهظًا

But less-than-amused social media user wouldn’t let Adraee get off easy. Instead, they played him at his own game using the magic of photoshop.
Adraee’s threatening message was replaced with funny phrases, and these are our favourites:
"No DM. Direct = Block"
"Copper, aluminum batteries for sale"
"Put the swing together for me, it's so comfy and nice"
"I don't work, I'm a princess"
"Long live Palestine, Arab and free"
