Israeli Navy forces arrested two Palestinian fishermen who were sailing off Gaza’s northern shores west of As-Sudaniyeh area, on Sunday morning, August 26, 2018.

According to the Palestinian Committee that documents Israeli violations against local fishermen, Israeli Naval ships entrapped a fishing boat -within a three-mile vicinity- and shot missiles and live bullets at it. After seizing the boat, the fishermen were detained and taken to Ashdod port.

According to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), Israeli attacks on Palestinian fishing boats occur daily, and within the allowed distance of six nautical miles from the shore, which indicates that Israel is trying to restrict the distance Gazans are allowed to fish in.
