The West Amman Court of First Instance decided on Sunday, October 13, 2019, to dismiss the lawsuit filed earlier by a number of parents against the Jordanian Teachers Syndicate, the legal advisor to the Syndicate, Bassam Freihat said.
The decision was made during a hearing held to consider the lawsuit, Freihat noted.
He added that the court rejected the parents' request to dissolve the Syndicate's council because the lawsuit is invalid.
Earlier last week, a number of parents filed a lawsuit against the Syndicate and demanded to dissolve its council following the teachers' strike, which "has negatively affected their children."
