The concerned authorities have evacuated today the last seven people quarantined at a hotel in Aqaba after completing their mandatory isolation period amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Aqaba Health Affairs Director, Ibrahim Muayah, said that 260 people have been quarantined in the city's hotel facilities since the beginning of the crisis, as part of the government's precautionary measures to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

"The epidemiological inspection teams are working around the clock to test all arrivals to Aqaba via the Wadi Araba and al-Mazfar crossings to ensure they are free of coronavirus," he added.
