The Executive Committee of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Cell in Irbid governorate decided today to end lockdown on four of the seven residential buildings in the city's northern neighborhood, quarantined since April 14, after a truck driver, who arrived from abroad, tested positive.

In a statement, the director of Irbid health affairs and Crisis Cell member, Dr. Qasim Mayas, said ending the lockdown on the four residential buildings was taken in coordination with the governorate's epidemiological committee.

He said maintaining the lockdown on the three buildings came as a precaution, as infections were announced less than two weeks ago to contacts with the truck driver, his daughter, and his mother-in-law.

The following video shows how the residents of the buildings celebrated the lift of the lockdown.
