People infected with coronavirus will be isolated in specialised areas in the Dead Sea region, the government announced on Sunday.

Up to 350 patients can be accommodated and every patient will have their own room, adding that a specialised medical team organised by the Ministry of Health will take care of them.

A testing laboratory specifically for coronavirus will also be set up in the area.

Minister of Health Saad Jaber said the decision would help hospitals return to focussing on patients and clients with non-coronavirus-related conditions.
