One death and five new COVID-19 cases recorded in Jordan

A woman has died after contracting coronavirus and five new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Jordan on Saturday. 

The 70-year-old woman was being treated at Prince Hamza Hospital. The total number of deaths has now reached 11.

The five new cases involve Jordanians returning from abroad who are currently in quarantine hotels. Three have arrived from Saudi Arabia, one from Iraq and one from the U.S.

The total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis has now reached 1,214.

One patient has recovered at Queen Alia Military Hospital in Amman. 

A total of 7,155 random tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 50,7217.

The Ministry of Health reiterated the need to adhere to preventive measures, wearing masks, social distancing, and the use of Aman and Sehtak applications.
