Health Minister inspects airport ahead of reopening

Queen Alia International Airport in ready to welcome visitors, said the Minister of Health, Saad Jaber, following a visit to inspect the implementation of health and safety measures on Monday. 

Jaber said medical teams and airport staff were ready for the arrival of travellers who will be subjected to thermal and laboratory examinations, and must adhere to safety measures to prevent the threat of spreading COVID-19. 

The laboratory located in the arrivals hall is capable of conducting 6,000 tests per day, he said. 

The minister was accompanied by senior officials from the airport, security and administrative agencies at Queen Alia International Airport, in addition to the authorities responsible for organising safety procedures regarding the opening of the airport.
