Twenty new coronavirus cases have been recorded since Tuesday evening, according to head of the COVID-19 response team at the Ministry of Health, Adnan Ishaq, said.

In a statement to Roya, he said the cases had been identified through contact tracing – totaling 10,000 tests.

The ministry has transferred a number of people who tested positive for the virus and either had mild or no symptoms to the Dead Sea quarantine caravans, and those with visible symptoms to Prince Hamzah Hospital.

A 49-year-old man diagnosed with coronavirus died on Wednesday morning, bringing the total number of deaths to 15 since the start of the pandemic.
