The government has imposed a total lockdown in Amman and Zarqa on Friday for two consecutive weeks and the goal was to reduce socializing as much as possible, to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

However, there are varying and opposing opinions regarding total lockdowns in the country as some understand its importance, while others believe it is useless.

In addition, citizens started doubting the feasibility and purpose of imposing a total lockdown, especially since it did not seem to have a positive effect on the number of daily local cases recorded.
