No final decision has been made regarding allowing the return of non-Jordanian migrant workers to Jordan, said the media spokesperson for the Ministry of Labour, Muhammad Al-Ziyoud, on Thursday.

This announcement concerns migrant workers whose work permit expired while outside the Kingdom during the coronavirus crisis and had left before the airport and border crossings were shutsown, on March 18.

This decision is currently being discussed at the Ministry, added Al-Ziyoud.

The ministry will coordinate with the Social Security Corporation to agree on a mechanism to secure their unpaid payments.
