The Lebanese authorities have shut down bars and night clubs in Lebanon on Sunday and until further notice.

The decision was made to prevent further spread of COVID-19 after 450 deaths were recorded.

Local authorities have also isolated 169 villages and areas across the country.

An overnight curfew has been reinstated starting 1am until 6am.

After leniency was shown, the government has once again tightened restrictions regarding health and safety measures.

A total of 52,558 cases and 455 deaths have been recorded in Lebanon since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis.
