The government will soon announce new decisions regarding lockdowns and curfews across the Kingdom, said the Minister of State for Media Affairs, Ali Al-Ayed, on Monday.

Al-Ayed said the government is reviewing the current 48-hour total lockdown and the midnight curfew restrictions. The two-day total lockdown starts at 1 AM on Friday and is followed by the normal overnight curfew starting at 1 AM until 6 AM on Sunday.

However, Al-Ayed noted that in order to reduce the spread of the virus, citizens should adhere to the required health and safety measures which include, social distancing and wearing masks.

Al-Ayed said these decisions will be announced before the end of this week.
