Citizens who do not abide by the new lockdown measures will be fined JD 500, and establishments JD 2,000 with closure for a period of 14 days, said the Minister of State for Media Affairs, Ali al-Ayed Thursday.

Additionally, if any establishment violates these measures more than once, it will be fined JD 6,000, al-Ayed added.

The government has increased the number of government and official agencies (12) authorized to conduct inspections regarding compliance with health and safety measures.
