The Minister of Interior Mazen al-Faraya Thursday said 47 people were detained for not abiding by home quarantine measures in different governorates across the Kingdom.

Based on defense orders, these individuals have all been placed in field hospitals for the remainder of their isolation period. These people will have to cover the expenses of the institutional quarantine and will be referred to the judiciary for the appropriate legal action to be taken.

He noted that these procedures are implemented in accordance with defense orders issued by the government. The ministry is continuously making an effort, in cooperation with the competent authorities, to conduct inspections and follow up on quarantined COVID-19 patients.

Faraya stressed that inspections are ongoing to ensure compliance with defense orders and precautionary measures.
