Sunday, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities (MoTA) called on restaurants that are authorized to deliver food, and who wish to provide this service, to submit their requests on the stayhome.jo platform, to issue roaming permits for their workers during curfew hours.
Additionally, the ministry announced that restaurants will be able to go onto the 'stayhome.jo platform to obtain their permit according to their licensing authority, after proving their eligibility and proving that their employees are members of social security.
They pointed out that in the event that there are problems in issuing permits, the applicant must review the licensee, whether it is the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Greater Amman Municipality, or any other municipalities.
The ministry indicated that there is a procedural guide explaining the mechanism for submitting permit applications, which has been circulated to restaurants. The guide includes entering the facility number, the national ID of the applicant who must be registered with social security, and his or her phone number.
On March 9, The Minister of State for Media Affairs, Sakher Dudin, announced stricter measures to be imposed on the Kingdom in light of the surge in COVID-19 cases. One of the measures included a 7pm curfew for individuals and 6pm curfew for establishments. However, Dudin stated that during curfew hours, the provisioin of delivery services will be permitted in order for individuals to meet their daily needs.
