Jordan records 16 deaths and 890 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 16 deaths and 890 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 731,436.

The death toll has risen to 9,384.

 The cases are:

- 392 in Amman

- 128 in Irbid, including six in Ramtha

- 115 in Zarqa

- 61 in Balqa

- 41 in Karak

- 39 in Aqaba

- 39 in Mafraq

- 25 in Ma'an, including 12 in Petra

- 17 in Ajloun

- 15 in Jerash

- Nine in Tafilah

- Nine in Madaba

A total of 87 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 84 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 10,438 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 855 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 711,614.

There are 591 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 21,048 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 7,139,945.

Monday, 4.23 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 3.81 percent on Sunday.
