Government to allow shishas inside cafes within week: Industry Minister

Monday, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Youssef Al-Shamali, said that shisha will be allowed inside cafes within a week.

This announcement came during the meeting of the economic sectors with the Parliamentary Economy and Investment Committee in the House of Representatives.

Shamali promised to reconsider the number of individuals allowed to enter wedding halls.

Earlier Monday, Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh issued Communication No. 47 for the year 2021.

The statement noted that road transport drivers who have not received the coronavirus vaccine will be punished with a fine of no less than JD 100 and no more than JD 500, and in case of a repeated offense, one shall be punished with the maximum fine.

This statement noted that paragraph 2 of the fifth clause of Communication No. 44 of 2021 was canceled, which said that road transport drivers who violate the provisions of Paragraph 1 of this article shall be punished with a fine of no less than JD 50 and not more than JD 100, and in case of a repeated offense, one shall be imprisoned for no more than six months.

Notably, Communication No. 44 of 2021 allows the free movement of people and the normal operation of establishments in all regions of the Kingdom, at all times, seven days a week.
