Security forces arrested an aggravator and an arsonist who set a car on fire in Shafa Badran, in a video that circulated on social media.

The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that a report was filed to the north Amman Police Directorate on Jan. 31.

The report indicated that a vehicle was set on fire by an unidentified individual while it was parked in Shafa Badran.

The Civil Defense put out the fire, while a criminal lab concluded that the act was carried out by using a flammable substance, the spokesperson said.

A suspect was arrested after investigation, he then admitted that he had been paid by someone to carry out the act.

The aggravator had a financial dispute regarding inheritance with the owner of the car.

The PSD referred the individuals to be tried in court.
