Here is why you should never skip Suhoor

During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims eat a healthy meal with sufficient quantities of water ahead of sunrise, which is known as Suhoor in order to equip their bodies for a day of fasting.

Suhoor is considered a key meal to stock up on plenty of minerals and vitamins that will keep our bodies active and healthy until iftar.

Here are some of the benefits of having Suhoor:

1- Suhoor activates the digestive system and maintains the level of sugar in the blood.

2- Suhoor prevents the feeling of fatigue and laziness and gives the body the needed energy to work, study, worship, and practice daily tasks during the day.

3- It maintains the overall balance of the body, especially during the long hours of fasting.

4- Eating a healthy and complete Suhoor meal helps keep hunger and thirst at bay, provided that Suhoor does not contain salty food, oily food, soft drinks or spices, as these foods are heavy on the digestive system, increase sweating and cause thirst.

5- It protects people from any problems caused by a lack of water or food, such as headaches, dizziness, constipation, and other problems.

All doctors stress the importance of the Suhoor meal in Ramadan, so try not to miss it to get all the benefits of fasting!
