Thursday, anti-vagrancy employees at the Ministry of Social Development detained a 17-year-old girl who was forced to beg by her father, near one of the traffic lights in the Deir Ghbar area in Amman.

The ministry said that after conducting a social study of the girl, it was found that her father has a criminal record with a total 22 cases.

The girl said that her dream was to go to school, but her father forced her to beg, and he was caught taking JD 20 from her, while he remained close to her for the purposes of monitoring her during the begging process. The girl was placed in a care and rehabilitation center.
