Jordan confirms seven deaths and 5,482 coronavirus cases in one week

Jordan recorded seven deaths and 5,482 new coronavirus cases in one week (from July 30 until August 5), bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,720,778, according to the weekly COVID-19 statistical report issued by the Ministry of Health every Sunday.

The total death toll reached 14,090.

The cases are:

-3,575 in Amman

-567 in Irbid

-492 in Zarqa

-307 in Balqa

-115 in Karak

-102 in Aqaba

-76 in Ajloun

-56 in Madaba

-51 in Jerash

-48 in Ramtha

-29 in Ma'an

-24 in Tafilah

-22 in Mafraq

-18 in Petra

A total 112 cases have been admitted to the hospitals in one week, and 96 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 63 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 163 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 27,018 PCR tests were conducted in one week.

The weekly positive PCR test rate reached 20.29 percent.
