Tuesday, a young man, 22, stabbed a young woman, 20, to death in Zagazig city in the Sharqia governorate in Egypt.
The perpetrator, who was arrested and his weapon was seized, said that he killed her because she had ended their relationship, according to Alarabiya.
Preliminary information noted that the victim was stabbed 17 times in several areas of her body at a building’s entrance adjacent to the Zagazig Court, in the vicinity of the First Zagazig Police Department.
The body was transferred to the morgue of Zagazig University Hospital and investigations are currently underway.
The crime comes less than two months after a similar one which took place in Mansoura University in Egypt that involved similar circumstances, according to multiple sources.
