Wednesday, the fuel pricing committee held its monthly meeting in which they decided to lower the prices of a number of fuel derivatives for September.

The committee stated that they took into account the government’s previous pledge that the rise of the prices would be gradual until they reach the actual cost of international prices.

After the new decision, the price of one liter of unleaded 90-octane gasoline was reduced by five fils meaning it will sell at JD 0.985 per liter instead of JD 0.990 per liter in September.

Additionally, unleaded 95-octane gasoline was reduced by 70 fils making it sell at JD one, 230 per liter instead of JD 1,300 per liter, according to a statement issued by the Energy Ministry.

Meanwhile, the price of diesel and kerosene increased, as it was changed to 790 fils per liter instead of 755 fils per liter in September.
