China reported 11,323 new coronavirus cases on Friday, according to local media. Infections rose above 10,000 for the first time since April on the previous day.

Earlier on Friday, China reduced the number of time travelers and close contacts of COVID cases must spend in quarantine, and pulled back on testing, in a significant calibration of the coronavirus Zero policy.
