Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II congratulated the Saudi national team for its win over Argentina in the World Cup.

Saudi Arabia’s national team made history by defeating Argentina after striking two goals against one.

International star Lionel Messi scored Argentina's first goal from a penalty kick in the tenth minute of the match before Saudi Arabia later scored their first goal by Saleh Al-Shehri in the 49th minute and the second goal by Salem Al-Dosari in the 53rd minute.

Saudi Arabia’s coach, Herve Renard, had previously said, “We love it when they forget about us and consider us the smallest team. In the World Cup, there are surprises and that is the mentality we have.”

He also said that he is ready “to cause an upset when we take on Argentina in our World Cup opener.”
