Zelensky vows to send ships of grain to countries most affected by food crisis

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky held a press conference following the Grain from Ukraine summit in Kyiv alongside several European leaders who renewed pledges of support to Ukraine on the 90th anniversary of the start of the Holodomor famine that affected millions of Ukrainians under Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, AFP reported.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his country is planning to send ships from Ukrainian ports to the countries "most affected by the food crisis and in need of assistance" at a presser alongside Ingrida Šimonytė, Lithuanian Prime minister, Alexander De Croo, Belgian Prime minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, Polish Prime minister and Katalin Novák, Hungarian president.

"We plan to send ships from Ukrainian ports to the countries most affected by the food crisis and in need of assistance. These are countries such as Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia and Congo, Kenya, Yemen and others."
