Greek fighter jets escorted Sunday a Ryanair plane following a bomb threat reported to authorities, according to a source in the Greek Ministry of Defense.

The plane was heading from Poland to Greece with more than 190 people on board.

After the plane arrived in Athens, it was diverted over the sea as a precaution. It was then allowed to land at the main international airport in Athens.
