Saturday, the head of the Religious Tourism Committee at the Association of Travel and Tourism Agents, Bilal Rubin, said the demand for Umrah trips in Jordan increased over the past six months.

He continued saying the number of pilgrims that went to Saudi Arabia by land and air stood between 80,000 and 85,000, since the beginning of the Umrah season in Aug. 2022.

He believes that the high demand for Umrah trips will continue to rise until the end of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.

He explained that some of the reasons behind the increased demind are shool holidays and reasonable prices of pilgrimage packages, in light of the ongoing challenging economic conditions in Jordan.
