Two Syrian citizens were fatally shot by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) near the border in the occupied Golan region, according to an IOF spokesperson Monday.

The spokesperson said that one of the individuals died on the spot after getting shot Sunday and the other passed away Monday, a day after getting arrested near the border.

Preliminary investigations showed that the young men did not intend on carrying out a dangerous operation, but investigations are still ongoing.
