Tuesday, the executive director of Arabia Weather Mohammad Al-Shaker said that Jordan is currently being affected by an air depression, which brings a lot of rain with it.
Shaker told Roya that satellite images showed a lot of clouds heading towards northern and central regions of the Kingdom.
He noted that most areas of the Kingdom will witness significant rainfall during the day, mixed with hail and thunder at times.
He said that snow may fall over the mountain tops in Tafilah.
A second-class air depression is expected to affect Jordan Wednesday, leading to heavier rain and very strong winds reaching a speed of 100 km/h, Shaker said.
In the late hours of Wednesday night and early hours of Thursday morning, snow is expected to fall in Tafilah, specifically in areas higher than 1,400 meters.
Other areas that might get snow are parts of Al-Shoubak, Wadi Musa and Ras Al-Naqab, whose heights are also more than 1400 meters.
