Wednesday, the director of operations at Arabia Weather Osama Al-Tarifi said that Jordanians should expect more rain, especially in the northern and central regions, and snow in southern heights such as Karak and Tafilah.
He continued saying that there is also a good chance of snowfall in the higher areas of Jerash, Ajloun, Amman, Balqa late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.
He stressed that this applies to areas higher than 1000-1100 meters and that snow is not expected to accumulate.
Tarifi said that significant amounts of rain have fallen during the ongoing air depression.
He told Roya that this is the first air depression affecting Jordan this year, adding that the second is scheduled to arrive Wednesday afternoon, which was classified as a third degree air depression.
Tarifi added that heavier rainfall is expected during the upcoming air depression, and higher chances of snowfall on mountainous areas.
