Palestinian prisoners in Israeli Occupation prisons continued, for the second consecutive day, protesting in response to the measures taken by the prison's administrations against the freedom fighters in the Naqab, Ofer and Megiddo prisons.

Tuesday, prisoners started refusing to eat breakfast and refusing to go out for "security checks," as reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

Tensions built in all prisons Tuesday after female prisoners in Damon prison were attacked by the guards, which included the use of tear gas and pepper spray.

According to WAFA, prisoners were abused in several prisons, their belongings were confiscated and some were even isolated from the rest of the prisoners, which led to increasing tensions.

The repression in prisons was escalated by the Israeli Occupation's Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir who, as WAFA reported, "vowed to make life miserable for the 4,500 Palestinian freedom fighters" serving time in Israeli Occupation prisons for their resistance of the occupation.

These measures included closing two bakeries run by the prisoners, moving prisoners around at all times, preventing family visitation, as well as confiscating belongings and canteen products.

They also conduct regular raids across all cells and sections.

Prisoners have reportedly warned that these repressive measures will not be taken lightly and are bound to escalate the situation in the prisons.
