The executive director of the Arabia Weather website Mohammad Al-Shaker said Thursday that temperatures are close to zero degrees Celsius in some areas.

He told Roya that frost formed in some areas and mountain peaks in the northern and central regions of the Kingdom, stressing that the air depression has moved away from Jordan towards Iraq.

Shaker added that during the current weekend, the weather remains "extremely cold."

He pointed out that it is likely that some eastern regions will witness very light snowfalls for several hours on Thursday night.

Temperatures in Amman are expected to range between five degrees during the day and three degrees at night on Thursday, according to Arabia Weather.

Friday, a slight rise in temperatures is expected with temperatures in Amman ranging between eight degrees during the day and two degrees at night.

Saturday, a slight drop in temperatures is expected with temperatures in Amman ranging between seven degrees during the day and two degrees at night.
