Thursday, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) notified two Palestinian brothers in the town of Al-Jalama, near Jenin in the West Bank, that they intend on demolishing their homes, as reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

Mayor of the town Amjad Abu Farha said that the IOF handed a notice to Jamal and Hesham Abu Farha, informing them of the demolition order under the pretext of lacking the necessary construction permits.

He added that the IOF also ordered dozens of street vendors near the town to remove their stalls, under the pretext of being too close to the IOF checkpoint of Al-Jalama.

Notably, the area where the IOF ordered the demolition of the two homes is classified as "Area C," which is often used as a reason by the Israeli Occupation to demolish houses.

WAFA pointed out that the Israeli Occupation almost never grant construction permits to Palestinians in this area, forcing many of them to start construction without acquiring a permit.
