The Israeli Occupation’s new government has reportedly "stepped up US-backed talks" with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding the enhancement of military and intelligence ties amid increasing concerns about Iran, as reported by Bloomberg.

Six people, who wished to remain anonymous due to the sensitive nature of the conversations, said officials from both countries held meetings ahead of the US-Gulf Cooperation Council Working Group to discuss defense and security in the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Last week, the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for the Middle East Dana Stroul, said: “We think that other regions integrating and beginning to sit at the same table with Israel are in the interest of stability and security in the region.”

According to analysts, preconditions include "an expanded and renewed commitment by Washington to help combat Iran," Bloomberg wrote, adding that the US government and six Gulf states participated in a joint call with Tehran, "a growing threat to regional security."

"President Joe Biden has made closer integration of Israel in the region a priority to avoid conflict and temper oil prices," the article read.

Meanwhile, Riyadh is involved in a conversation with Iran mediated by Iraq, with the goal of addressing common conflicts, it added.

The Israeli Occupation’s prime minister’s office and foreign ministry declined did not comment on the matter, and neither did Saudi’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noted Bloomberg.

The US State Department spokesperson said Washington supports “the building of connections between regional partners as essential to the region’s prosperity, peace, and stability.”

The spokesperson added that Washington was “working with our Saudi partners to reinforce shared priorities in a relationship that promotes a more stable, prosperous, and integrated Middle East.”

This came as a comment on Saudi's keenness for new security and military commitments from the United States as a price for normalizing ties with the Israeli Occupation.
