Firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out in the free zone in Zarqa Monday.

According to the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD), the fire broke out in an outdoor storage area for heavy machinery, barrels, waste oils and wood within the free zone.

The CDD told Amen FM that firefighters rushed to the scene as soon as the fire was reported and successfully put out the fire preventing it from spreading further.

No one was hurt by the fire and only material damage was reported.
