A wanted man who was sentenced to 20 years in prison was arrested Monday, according to the media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD).

The spokesperson said an investigative team from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has been working on the case and collecting information about the convict who is wanted for seven different charges including attempted murder, abuse and firing a gun.

The team successfully located the convict in the Central Badia region and arrested him after raiding the location, he added.

Notably, two firearms and an amount of drugs were found and seized.

The convict was accompanied by another person wanted by the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND).
