The ancient city of Jericho, east of the occupied West Bank, is under Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) siege for the second consecutive day, as reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

Travel for Palestinians across the only land crossing through Jordan is currently closed off, according to Palestinian security sources.

They said that the two main entrances to Jericho have been closed off since Monday, following the shooting operation that left one Israeli Occupation settler dead.

Palestinians who wish to leave/enter the city or travel abroad have not been able to do so.

Palestinian are also being held for longer periods of time at Israeli Occupation checkpoints at the city's entrances.

Notably, the IOF raided the Aqbat Jabr refugee camp Monday night, on the southern outskirts of Jericho, and searched homes.
