The Israeli Occupation's Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir instructed the police to continue demolishing Palestinian homes in occupied Jerusalem during Ramadan, under the pretext that they were built without permits.

Local media said Monday that the Israeli Occupation often refrains from demolishing homes during the holy month of Ramadan, in anticipation of an escalation.

Ben Gvir's instructions came despite warnings from leaders of the security services advising him to avoid actions that would anger Palestinians.

Local media indicated that Ben Gvir ignored these warnings and sources from Ben Gvir's office commented saying he does not get involved in "closed deliberations."

The Israeli Occupation police forces are preparing to implement Ben Gvir's demands, despite the fact that it could lead to escalations in occupied Jerusalem and later extend to the West Bank.

During discussions between the Israeli Occupation's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and leaders of the security services, it was made clear that members of the security services were against following Ben Gvir's instructions which include demolishing homes and imposing fines.

Earlier, Ben Gvir also decided to increase the penalties for lighting fireworks in occupied Jerusalem, declaring them as "explosive materials."

The decision is believed to make it easier for the Israeli Occupation police forces and the Public Prosecution to arrest and issue strict indictments against those who use fireworks, according to local media.
