Wednesday, four people were injured in a four-vehicle pileup on Mafraq road, the Highway Patrol Department told Amen FM.

All those who were injured were transported to a nearby hospital.

The department said that several accidents were reported on Irbid Road and Jerash Road, but no one was injured.

- Interrupted traffic -

A freight vehicle broke down on the back road from Amman to Aqaba, which blocked traffic on that lane and led to a traffic jam for a period of time.

- Falling cargo -

One freight vehicle dropped the cargo on board, which led to a traffic jam but no injuries were reported.

Another vehicle was stopped near Al-Abyad station for overloading iron wires which were about to fall. The driver was asked to contact the company and request another vehicle to help transport the cargo.

- Speeding -

Many drivers were given speeding tickets, the most prominent of which was a vehicle on Azraq road moving at a speed of 171 km/hour.
