Jordan witnessed rain Tuesday after a break of around 30 days. The country is experiencing a significant drop in temperatures and cloudy skies with thunderstorms of rain falling in the western parts of the country.

Throughout the day, the effects of the cold air mass is expected to deepen with rainfall extending to all parts of the country. Lightning, thunder and showers of hail is expected to lead to the formation of torrential rains in the valleys and low lying areas which Jordan’s Meteorological Department warned of.

It also warned of the danger of thunderstorms, slippery roads and low horizontal visibility due to dust.
