Wednesday, the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) destroyed quantities of narcotics that were seized in 43 different cases.

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) released a statement saying that this is part of the AND's efforts that aim to arrest all drug dealers and traffickers across the Kingdom.

The narcotic substances destroyed include 12,823,175 Captagon pills, 2,663 kg of hashish, 1,300 kg of synthetic cannabis, 40,700 kg of marijuana, three kg of cocaine, 1,260 kg of crystal meth and 4,500 kg of "Joker" powder.

Notably, the destruction process was carried out under the supervision of a special committee, where it was destroyed in special ovens with a temperature of up to 1,000 degrees Celsius.

The PSD stressed that the AND and other relevant authorities will deal firmly with any narcotic-related cases in order to protect the country, citizens and residents.

It also expressed its continuous keenness to enhance cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF), other security agencies and the Customs Department to thwart smuggling attempts.
