Saturday, the Palestinian Authority announced its official participation in the Sharm el-Sheikh meeting.
Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Hussein Al-Sheikh said that a Palestinian delegation will participate Sunday in the Sharm El-Sheikh meeting, with a regional and international presence.

He wrote on Twitter that participation comes to defend the rights of the Palestinian people to freedom and independence, and demand an end to the continuous Israeli Occupation aggression against Palestinians.

This comes as a follow-up to last month’s meeting at the Jordanian Red Sea port city of Aqaba attended by the Palestinian Authority, Jordan, Egypt, the Israeli Occupation, and the United States. The meeting discussed easing tensions in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Friday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that a total of 88 Palestinians were martyred across Palestine since the beginning of 2023.
