Sunday, two Israeli Occupation settlers attempted to vandalize the Church of Gethsemane in occupied Jerusalem, as reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

According to local authorities, the settlers broke into the church and tried to vandalize the property inside, but were immediately caught and stopped by a Palestinian man who was present at the location.

Earlier this year, settlers vandalized a Christian cemetery in occupied Jerusalem, leaving crosses smashed and headstones knocked down.

In December of last year, Christian leaders in Jerusalem warned that "Christians have become the target of frequent and sustained attacks by fringe radical groups."
