French football star Kylian Mbappé heads up an event held by the NGO Premiers de Cordée to promote sports to children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Mbappé, an ambassador for the organization, tells the press, "I'm always happy to see children who want to play football, who want to have fun, who want to forget their everyday life."

After playing football with the youngsters alongside his brother Ethan, cheered on by crowds of fans, Mbappé says, "my mission is to show them that I'm not unapproachable, that I'm here with them and we can play together."

"They are the real heroes; they are the ones who fight real battles every day; we don't have struggles like that," he adds.
