King to host banquet for Crown Prince wedding

The official celebrations in Jordan commence with the upcoming wedding of Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II and Miss Rajwa Khaled Al-Saif, spanning two days.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, the festivities will begin with a dinner banquet hosted by King Abdullah II at the Royal Hashemite Court. Over 4,000 invited members of the Jordanian community are expected to attend. The banquet will feature various elements showcasing the rich diversity and originality of Jordanian heritage, including poetry, singing, and songs.

On Thursday, the wedding ceremony will take place at Zahran Palace, followed by a procession to Husseiniya Palace. The capital's streets will be adorned with flags and displays of jubilation to mark this joyous occasion. At Husseiniya Palace, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah will host a wedding reception, followed by an official dinner.

Visitors from neighboring and friendly countries, including state leaders and crown princes, have started arriving in Amman, the capital, to participate in Jordan's festivities. The wedding ceremony has garnered significant media attention locally, regionally, and internationally, with live broadcasts of the celebrations on television networks.

Across the various governorates of the Kingdom, numerous activities are taking place to commemorate the wedding and join in the celebration.
