After intense competitions that brought together 20 elite drift racers who ignited the audience’s excitement at the Jordan rally track in the Dead Sea Friday evening, Moaid Marwan succeeded in snagging first place in the Red Bull Car Park Drift national final, thus qualifying to represent the Kingdom of Jordan at the world finals, held in Qatar’s capital of Doha in early December.

The event, which was the largest on a national scale this year, was held in partnership with Jordan Motorsport, Roya TV, Zain, MG Motor Jordan, Ahli Bank, Jeeny, Talabat Mart, G-Shock, Radio Hala and Bliss 104.3.

Marwan took home the title thanks to his impressive and offensive performance in his Toyota GT86, which helped him win the admiration of the trio of judges: motorsports expert Youssef Basil, representative of the Jordan Motorsports Federation Anas Beshto, and Lebanese rally champion Jean-Pierre Nasrallah. Marwan made it through three rounds to reach the final stage, where he was able to score the highest number of points, ahead of Fares Sarrar, who came in second, and Anas el Helo, in third.

Upon being crowned the “King of Drift” and receiving the first-place award for the year 2023, Marwan expressed his joy at winning, saying: “Thank god I got first place at Jordan’s Red Bull Car Park Drift, it’s always been a dream of mine.”

The Red Bull Car Park Drift qualifiers returned to Jordan for the 13th time to provide motorsports enthusiasts with amazing performances that reflected the drivers’ skills that develop year after year. The 2023 edition featured the unique location at the lowest point in the world, as well as new obstacles designed by Lebanese drifting and motor racing legend Abdo Feghali.

What upped the audience's enthusiasm and suspense were the performances that Feghali put on in his own style, using a completely modified MG GT car to be rear-wheel drive and suitable for drifting, in parallel with motorcycle shows with Abdullah Youssef Abu Aisha and Zaid Jaber.
