At least four people were killed Wednesday after a residential building collapsed in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

Egyptian authorities confirmed in a statement that the collapsed building, consisting of four floors, is located in the Heliopolis district and is approximately 3.2 kilometers away from the city center. The statement also confirmed that at least three others were injured.

According to local media reports, the cause of the collapse has not yet been determined.

An investigation has been launched into the incident.
