A 19-year-old Palestinian, Dhargham Mohammad Yahya Al-Akhras, succumbed to critical head injuries sustained during a military raid by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in the Aqbat Jaber refugee camp in Jericho.

The IOF raid was conducted for detainment purposes, during which Akhras was killed and many others suffered from respiratory distress due to the use of tear gas.

The Red Crescent reported that the critically injured young man, shot in the head, was urgently transported to Jericho Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

This brings the total number of Palestinians killed by the IOF in Jericho this year to 13.

During the raid, two Palestinians were detained from their homes in the camp.
